Austin x Lulu

Austin is one of the most stable dogs that we have had the pleasure to train and hunt behind. A stable dog is a dog that can be put in any situation and not have an adverse reaction. Austin is a dog that will lay quietly in his run when the other dogs are being trained, not jumping around, biting at the fence and making a lot of noise. When you teach him something, you rarely have to re-teach. When we were preparing him for the NAVHDA natural ability test he would point and catch five birds and go point five more. It didn’t matter how many birds he caught, he always came right back and pointed. His performance in the NAVHDA Utility Test was great, he earned a Utility Prize I two test in a row the last prize one was a 204!

We are looking forward to taking Austin to the Invitational this year (2007).

Lulu is a very cooperative dog that is very eye appealing. She received 112 points out of 112 points in her NAVHDA Natural Ability test. She is three years old and is preparing for the NAVHDA Utility test and we have no doubt that she will do great. Pointing came naturally to her along with swimming. She started to swim at 9 weeks and is in the water every chance she gets. Lulu has a range of about 40 to 50 yards. I would have to say that her favorite thing to do (besides lounging on the couch) is to retrieve.

Her dam is our dog Bailey, she earned a Utility Title in NAVHDA and her sire is Dejong’s Kain (Thor). We trained Thor and he received a NAVHDA Utility Prize I. Bailey’s hips are certified with OFA as Excellent and Lulu’s hips are certified with OFA as Excellent.
